LinkedIn User Profile Advanced Search

Search by keywords within LinkedIn's collection of user's public profiles.

LinkedIn offers a search feature to find people. However, this custom search extends that functionality to include Google's Advanced Search features.

The advantages to this search are that search results are not limited to your network. Also, search results are ranked by Google and not LinkedIn. Furthermore, there is no limit to the number of results. LinkedIn search returns only the first 500 results from your network.

Examples:
"Smith UCLA", "Harvard -MBA", "MCSE OR CCNA"

LinkedIn Company Profile Search

This search is still very experimental. It appears that many of the company profiles are not indexed.

Search company profiles by keyword on LinkedIn.com.

On March 20, 2008, LinkedIn stated on their company blog that there were over 160,000 company profiles on their website.

They also wrote that,
The easiest way to access any company profile is stumbling upon it through individual profiles themselves. As you're browsing any profile, look out for a logo right next to company titles, in any individual's work history. Clicking through the highlighted company links will take you to the Company Profile directly
.
This custom search helps solve the trouble of finding those company profiles without having to "stumble" across them.

New profiles may take longer to display in the search results pages. Therefore, it is advised to search often for the companies that interest you the most.

Supports Google's Advanced Search features.

LinkedIn Groups Search

Search by keywords for groups to join on LinkedIn.com.

There are thousands of groups to join on LinkedIn. However, LinkedIn does not yet have a "group search" feature. I have noticed many of us LinkedIn members asking how to find and join groups. My goal was to provide us with a simple solution.

New groups may take longer to display in the search results pages. Therefore, it is advised to search often for the types of groups that interest you the most.

Supports Google's Advanced Search features.

Examples: "alumni", "marketing -web", "certified OR certification".

You can search here or from the LinkedIn Groups Search homepage.
